On Friday 4 April 2025, Charles Prince Airport led by its Airport Manager Mr. E. Murungweni, welcomed the esteemed ACZ Board Chairman Adv. T. J. Muhonde, Board Member Dr. T. J. Mabvure, CEO Mr. T. Gusha and Executive Leadership Team for an in-depth operational review and airport tour. The agenda focused on a comprehensive assessment of our current performance, identifying key areas for enhancement, and strategising for future growth.
A critical segment of the visit was dedicated to our unique ecosystem of private operators. Sky Relief stands as a pivotal hub for aircraft assembly, maintenance & repair organisations (MROs), contributing significantly to the regional aviation sector. Discussions centered on fostering a symbiotic relationship with these entities, ensuring seamless integration with our airport operations & exploring opportunities for infrastructure development to support their specialised needs.
Charles Prince Airport is presented with ambitious expansion plans, with proposed developments for our terminal infrastructure, runway extension plus modern airport technologies. These projects are designed to enhance capacity, accommodate projected traffic growth & position Charles Prince Airport as a leading regional aviation gateway.
The visit concluded with a meet & Greet session with all the staff as a vital asset to the organisation.
