Grand Reef Airport
Grand Reef Airport is located approximately 37km northwest of Mutare CBD, Zimbabwe, and serves as an important aviation gateway to the Eastern Highlands. Originally established in the late 1956 as a military airfield, it was later converted for civilian use, in October 2025 to support regional air transport, business travel, and tourism. Over the years, the airport has undergone upgrades to improve its infrastructure and operational capacity, strengthening its role in connecting Mutare with other parts of Zimbabwe. Today, Grand Reef Airport continues to support domestic aviation, charter operations, and economic development within the region.
