“Articles which are, in the context of aviation security, defined as those articles, devices or substances which may be used to endanger the safety of the aircraft and its occupants, or installations and the public”.

Restricted articles are not allowed in the cabin of an aircraft but can be carried in the hold if well packaged and do not endanger the aircraft and passengers and the airline agrees.
